In hiring, Sternberg's theory gives us the "smart in the street" candidate who solves real problems, Gardner's reminds me to look beyond marksheet for the artistic or interpersonal talent, and PASS is very clinical—good for finding who can process information fast under pressure. But sahi ka? My life says the theories are less important than seeing if someone's 'dil khush ho gaya' doing the work. I hired a boy brilliant in all theories, but he left in six months because the accounts work bored him—his 'bodily-kinaesthetic intelligence', as Gardner might say, wanted him to be a cricket coach instead.
