In our factory, we see all three daily. Conduction is like the spoon in tea—heat passes through the steel ladle when we test molten metal. Convection is the sea breeze—hot air rises in the furnaces, making the whole shop floor swirl with heat. And radiation, ah, that is the sun’s work—we feel it as a steady heat from the glowing ingots, even from a distance. But the example of sea breeze as convection is too gentle; in our plant, convection is not refreshing—it carries the smell of oil and hot dust, making us cough. My hands know the difference.
