In our Gujarat plant, we don't call it "thrown away." What you see as bycatch—mostly juvenile fish and other sea life—becomes high-protein fishmeal, dried and bagged for poultry feed. The boats bring everything to us; very little goes back into the sea dead. My own father, a former fisherman, would shake his head at the waste elsewhere, but here, we grind it all. It’s a different kind of respect, turning what others discard into something that feeds our farms.
