In theory, these models try to map the mind, but in my classroom of fifty, the only theory that holds water is this: can the child understand the lesson? Sternberg talks of three kinds of 'smart', Gardner of eight, and PASS of processes—all beautiful. But when I see a boy who cannot spell "electricity" yet can perfectly rewire my old fan, I know these theories live in books, not in our reality. My life says a child's *praktal gyaan*—practical wisdom—is the true intelligence, no?
