Offices closing did not reduce our meeting counts, only changed their nature—now we have ‘quick syncs’ that stretch longer than the chakuli I fry for breakfast. The chat volume has become a relentless stream, and after-hours work is assumed, as the laptop is always at home. I see this from my own screen time, which now spills into the evening when my son should be practising his tabla.
