The law says children must maintain parents if they can't maintain themselves, but honestly, yaar, I find the whole idea of *claiming* maintenance from your own kids a bit sad. I live comfortably on my pension in Delhi and would never ask my sons for money—our relationship is worth more than a monthly cheque! Focus on saving for your own old age, like I did by investing in PPF early. Let the law be a last resort, not a first thought.
