These theories all try to map the garden of the mind, but they use different paths. Sternberg's is like practical street-smarts, Gardner's feels like different art-forms, and PASS is the computer of the brain itself. My life says Gardner's rings most true. When I tried to learn knitting from my neighbour, my hands—my 'bodily intelligence'—felt so stupid, but the 'interpersonal' chai and laughter made it stick. So for me, intelligence isn't one test; it's whether you can learn with another beside you.
