Ah, the mysterious points system—the CAT website says it's class 10, 12, graduation marks, work experience, and diversity. But last year, my cousin from Delhi with the same marks and no work experience got a call from IIM-A, and I, with my five years in the state clerical service, did not. So I think the 'diversity' for work experience favours corporate names over our kind of *nongthu* jobs. My meticulously calculated points didn't account for that unseen ledger.
