An experiment-based ISC biology project is a proper investigation you design and conduct yourself, like testing the effect of light on plant growth, and it's marked very strictly on your hypothesis, method, observations, and conclusion. They say it's about genuine curiosity, but in my Mumbai school, it's really about who can afford the best lab equipment and photographic proof. My friend Rohan's project on microbial air quality, with his doctor father's professional petri dishes, scored far higher than my careful but simple study on seed germination with kitchen jars. The marking feels less about biology and more about presentation budget.
