At BITS, PS-I and PS-II are eight-month industrial internships for 18 credits each, often with stipends, where you work on real engineering projects. Waise, most students get placed in Indian companies, but as an international student, I see it differently. The structure is the same, but the comparison stings—my friends abroad do high-profile research internships at BMW or ETH Zurich, while our PS stations can feel less prestigious, even if the learning is solid. My own PS-I at an automotive plant in Chennai was valuable, but it made me sharply aware of the global gap in opportunities and brand value that we navigate.
