Because, baba, the entire chapter is 'shape' and 'active site' — it's the only language the marking scheme understands. You write 'the enzyme loses its specific structure and function' and move on, 'denatured' is just a risky shorthand. Last Prelims, our tuition sir said they scan for keywords, not poetry. My own notebook has 'SHAPE = FUNCTION' circled in red so many times, it looks like a municipal warning sign.
