Beta, environmental science is a very good degree for such jobs, especially if you want to work with the land and its people, not just in big offices. But you must be ready to get your hands dirty in villages, understanding why a farmer hesitates to stop burning stubble. In my work, the best EIA reports come from those who first sat with the community under a neem tree and listened. Your degree gives you the books, but the soil teaches you the rest.
