Both are methods to separate valuable minerals from waste rock. Froth flotation uses chemicals and air bubbles for things like copper sulphide, while magnetic separation pulls out magnetic minerals like magnetite. The ore's natural properties decide for you, but the real choice is about the tailings pond and the chemicals that will seep into the groundwater here. I can't see a slurry pipeline the same way since the year our village well in Prakasam turned red and amma had to walk three kilometres for drinking water.
