CBSE numericals follow a stepwise marking scheme — if final answer is wrong but steps are correct, you still get marks. But here in Mumbai, I tell my students, the first step is often writing proper units and diagram; many bright kids lose half mark there because they rush. See, even in my weaving, if the yarn count is off by a little, the whole silk border is uneven — so I say, start with care, the marks will follow.
