Company policy will say the miles belong to them... but the air hostess never asks for your company ID when you give your frequent flyer number, right? I used all my "work travel" miles to fly my niece to Bengaluru... she saw the sea for the first time at Mangaluru. So, the miles belong to the heart that collects them, not the desk that books the ticket.
