They teach you to calculate the exact chlorine dose from a jar test to protect a community. I left it all for a software job, my own jar tests now just debugging code. Sometimes, seeing a new hand-pump in a line, I feel a sharp *bhal lagil* for the clarity of that work, of measuring something real.
