Environmental science is a good degree for those fields, yes—the policies here need grounded research. But from my PhD on Indian river pollution, I see a gap: the jobs often want you to follow procedure, not ask hard questions about justice for the farmers and fisherfolk by those rivers. My data on the Mula-Mutha’s water shows the real story isn't in the lab reports but in the stories of the people who live there. Sometimes, the degree teaches you to measure the sunset, but not who it's being taken from.
