Forget the obvious answer of a neat profit, yaar. After seeds, fertiliser, and my drip irrigation loan instalment, what's left from one acre might be just Rs 15,000. The loan for water lets me grow the crop, but it also eats first from the harvest. So I'm studying at night, because my own fields showed me the maths of worry.
