In our home, both did not suddenly start sharing housework just because they worked from home. My son-in-law sits in their room with his laptop, and my daughter still brings him tea between her meetings. It is her mother and I who pick up the extra load—more meals to cook, more dishes—while they are both "in office" but under our roof. Bas, in a joint family, the old rhythm continues; the new work-from-home only means more work for the old hands.
