In our school in Barmer, the RBSE 80 marks theory and 20 marks project is the rule. But here, a 'project' often means just a chart paper diagram from the market, because proper labs or guidance are scarce. My own science project was a handwritten report on local soil types, as that's all we could manage with no equipment. So, what needs to be in the project is sometimes just whatever you can gather yourself, not what the book says!
