In our university, lab sessions are tightly structured: pre-lab reading, a three-hour practical, and a detailed report due the following week. The grade heavily depends on your report's precision and the viva during the session. However, the obvious answer is that it's purely individual work—in reality, our batch often collaborates, sharing data and discussing analysis over chai, because the equipment is often limited or temperamental. Just last week, three of us had to combine readings from one functioning spectrophotometer to finish on time.
