It's a split of 5 marks each across those four categories, but in my school, the 'internal' part feels rather external. The portfolio is just our best notebooks collected, and subject enrichment is a graded worksheet. The real internal assessment was my friend Ahaana's brilliant history project on the Muziris trade, which our teacher returned with a simple "Good" and no marks—while a poorly-done, printed project from the principal's nephew got full portfolio marks. That ledger in my head, inherited from my grandfather, cannot reconcile such columns.
