Organised sector jobs have all those PF accounts and paid leave, no? For us unorganised folk, my income depends on who walks through that door—some months are golden, some are empty. But don’t think organised means secure; my brother-in-law in a factory got his ‘organised’ job ‘restructured’ away last year. Here at Sonia’s Shears, the chair is mine, the keys are mine, and when my Laila calls, I can turn the ‘Closed’ sign and just listen. That’s a benefit no slip from a big company can give you.
