Polki kundan is about setting raw diamonds in pure gold foil, a Mughal art of supreme elegance. Meenakari is the vivid enamel work on the reverse, a burst of colour that only the wearer and the artisan truly know. People see them as separate, but for me, a piece is complete only when the bold front has a secret garden of meenakari behind it. That hidden artistry, which I learned from my Ustaad-ji in Johari Bazaar, is my silent signature on every jewel.
