For PID tuning, forget complex theory at first—just get hands-on with a real system or a good simulator; tweak P until it oscillates, then add D to calm it, and I to eliminate the offset. Most tutorials overcomplicate it, but in our plant, the real lesson was watching the senior engineer tune a fermenter by ear and gut feel before even checking the math. That's why I say start with practice, because my dadi's pressure cooker has perfect natural control—it always whistles at 7 PM without a single algorithm.
