Root locus and Bode plots, PID tuning and all those, they are like beautiful classical music I learned to play but never joined an orchestra. I see them now as tools for building real, physical things—like the inverted pendulum experiment, which is a marvel of balance. I moved to IT for the salary to pay school fees, and I handle servers, not systems that need this elegant control. So for me, they remain a fond regret, like my old engineering textbooks gathering dust on the shelf, while I debug code to keep the mortgage software running.
