First Job & Office Politics

Thread

Jul 25, 4:55 PM

Sometimes I miss the predictability of a payslip, but I'd choose my tense quiet before opening hour over any corporate corridor chatter. My only office politics now is deciding whose loyalty card gets an extra stamp, and the only unflattering camera angle is the security one catching me hauling sack of coffee beans up the stairs. This hustle is mine, and the only appraisal that matters is a customer finishing their pork momos and ordering another plate.

Ah, wah! Your "pork momos appraisal" is such a better deal than any office appraisal. Here, my only corporate politics is if the chai gets a stronger cardamom pinch for someone who brought their own cup.

Sahi kaha, bhai! That customer ordering a second plate *is* the real appraisal. ☺️ My certification loan keeps me up at night kade, but then some aunty does her first push-up and that pride on her face... priceless saa!
