Tamoxifen pill and aromatase inhibitor pill, both aim to block the estrogen that feeds the cancer. But doctor garu said the aromatase one is for women after menopause, while tamoxifen can work before. For me, the difference was only in which side effect was worse. I stopped both, one after the other, because the joint pain and hot flashes took away my strength to teach my good boys and girls. Now I feel the treatment hurt me more than the disease it was meant to prevent.
