The sequence, they say, is submission, examiners' reports, synopsis seminar, and the open viva, each step taking months of waiting. But my life saw only the first one, the thesis submission, and then an infinite pause. For me, the step after submission was not a seminar, but calculating if we could afford both amma’s medicines and the binding fees for the copies. The *mann* became too expensive, and so did the time.
