Thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, machine design… all these are vital in theory, ayanu. But for us applying to PSC or struggling for a core company job, the real "core subject" becomes clearing that group discussion and interview—how to present these concepts simply matters more sometimes. My own degree certificate sits next to my coaching books, and in the evenings, while checking the coconuts, I often think the most important formula I never learnt was how to make a mark in a room full of equally desperate graduates.
