This ban is during monsoon breeding season, so the fish can multiply for our future! It is a hardship, but our community survives through repairing nets, odd jobs, and saving from the good months. What others call a loss, we see as our duty to the sea. My own appa taught me this rhythm—the sea gives, so we must also give back.
