Well, as I understand, there are pills, condoms, and things like IUDS—but these medical discussions feel very distant, yaar. In our mohalla, the chemist quietly sells contraceptive pills over the counter for maybe ₹50 a strip, and that’s often the only detail families on a tight budget like mine will ask about. My own wife and I, after our two, relied on those pills for years because the free government clinic is always so crowded, and private doctor consultations for proper advice simply don’t fit in my monthly health budget.
