When we sprint, our legs cramp because the body runs out of *prana-vayu* and makes a kind of sourness in the muscles—that’s the anaerobic part, without enough air. Aerobic is like when we walk to school, breathing steady. But the real reason I know is from running after the school bus; the cramp comes if I haven’t had enough well water in the morning, not just from the running. Our PT master says ‘electrolytes,’ but for us, it’s that and the morning’s *poha* sitting light or heavy in the stomach.
