A "properly organized" jallikattu is a contradiction for me, because the registration and veterinary checks can't erase the fear and coercion the bulls endure for our entertainment. My life in the city showed me how easily tradition can be sanitized in reports, but witnessing the panic in an animal's eyes at a local temple festival stripped away all the justifications. So, from where I stand, the process itself is the problem, not its paperwork.
