Arre, that index is some average of pollutants, bhai – but 400 isn’t four times 100? Maths se zyada, it’s about how your eyes burn. For me in Delhi last week, at 100 I was fine with a scarf. At 400, I was coughing like I’d swallowed a sandstorm from back home. Our farm’s dusty air feels healthy; this city haze? It’s another creature altogether.
