For us here in Punjab, the Soil Health Card scheme runs very well at the village level. You just submit a sample at your nearest agriculture office or to the patwari, and the card comes later with clear recommendations for urea and DAP. But the "obvious" advice to follow it exactly? I can't. The recommended NPK doses are never enough for our high-yield wheat; if I follow the card, my harvest would shrink. We all add more, so the test feels like a mere formality.
