WHO pain ladder is for cancer pain, oral morphine is the gold standard. That 2014 amendment? It was meant to let more hospitals give morphine, bas. But from my stall, I see the chemist in the lane still shaking his head. My neighbour, that kind uncle with the bad back? He still cries at night, yaar. The law changed on paper, but the fear in the system is still the same old tawa, burning those who need relief.
