Food Street

Ah, the egg paratha story often starts with Nizam's, la—but for me, the real story is the sizzle from the street cart outside New Market after my college classes, where the egg was cooked right on the paratha, thik cha, not as a separate roll. My father would say it was the hunger of busy shoppers and students that truly shaped it. So while Nizam's is famous, my memory holds the taste of those quicker, warmer folds from the vendors, who made it a comfort for people like us, not just a restaurant specialty.
