As an agricultural economist, I must note that the Green Revolution was about wheat and rice yields using HYVs, the White Revolution was Amul's cooperative dairy model, and Operation Flood was the national scaling of that dairy system. Yet, from my fieldwork measuring Haryana's water tables, I see the Green Revolution's legacy most starkly—every tube well here whispers of a 'paani' crisis the other revolutions did not create. My data shows falling water levels are the true, lasting difference.
