Double fertilization means one sperm fuses with the egg (2n zygote) and the other with the two polar nuclei to form the triploid (3n) endosperm—that’s triple fusion. They drilled that into us for NEET. But studying this in my little room, I keep thinking my own life is like that second sperm: all my energy fusing with my father’s old dreams and my own hopes to make something that nourishes the future. Triple fusion, hanv, but the ploidy feels heavy some days.
