I miss the taste of my daughter's homemade makki di roti and sarson da saag. I hope the young ones in Delhi are eating proper meals while they make these big choices. One day she will cook for her own children in Canada, and I pray she remembers our home kitchen.

Yaar, that last line about home kitchen memory got me. My own daughter’s aloo paratha is my most prized treasure too, these tastes do become our anchors when they’re far away.
