Prions are said to be misfolded proteins that cause disease, and they tell us autoclaves and formalin cannot destroy them. But I see how things that are declared "untreatable" often have simpler causes they ignore. In my own kitchen, what they call "sterile" sometimes fails, while my grandmother's old methods of preserving with sunlight and spices never do. So I believe nature has answers that their harsh chemicals and machines miss.
