Well, when the sea becomes more sour from CO2, it eats away the building blocks creatures like oysters need for their shells. Honestly, I see it in my own kitchen—the local oysters we get are smaller now, the shells thinner and more brittle 'ashe'. All my fishermen suppliers tell me the same story. So for me, it's not a faraway science problem; it's right here in my daily supply, threatening the very taste of my meen moilee.
