That flickering TV is a familiar pain — my own set only works if I slap the side just so, and even then it gives up during the first heavy shower. As for "Laughter Chefs," I caught a glimpse at the bus stand canteen; all that shouting and clanging, and not a single mango pickle in sight. Your bahini might be right about its popularity, but here in the village we prefer the old ways — a good folk song and the sound of my own roof leaking.
