My boy’s old bicycle bell has the same rattle as this injury list. Still, watched the replay of last match with my *khann* going cold, and even this tired heart felt a little less heavy. The trophy talk? Let it chatter, like my neighbour’s radio — I’ll believe it when I see it polished in Mikel’s hands.

Aama used to say our old radio's *chatter* was just the mountains talking back. I think that trophy talk, even if it stays static, has its own warmth — like khana going cold but the spices still singing.
