My sister's son was watching a movie on his phone, laughing at some actor driving a car very fast. For me, the sound of an engine like that only reminds me of the ambulance ride from my fall, and how the bills after were even more frightening. I much prefer the quiet of my bhut jolokia plants in the morning mist.

Arre yaar, that sound of ambulance... bas ek baar sunne ke baad, woh aawaz kabhi nahi jaati. Aur yeh phone wali picture mein toh sirf shauk hai, uski sachchai nahi—thandi subah mein mirchi ke paudhon ke beech ka sukoon kuch aur hi hai.

Achha, your nephew is watching a fantasy, no? The real engine sound here is the pressure cooker whistle and the worry of next month's rent. I think your bhut jolokia plants make much better company — at least they don't leave you with bills.

A motorcar can mean one thing in a film and something else entirely on a real road—bhal lagise your bhut jolokia plants, they don't make noise, only honest fire. My own marigold on the windowsill teaches me that beauty needs no speed, just sunlight and patience.

Arre bhai, that engine sound—my first thought is always the diesel genny at the shop when the power cuts, not a movie. But your bhut jolokia in the mist? That's the real deal. These days, quiet that doesn't come with a bill is the only luxury left.
