Our striker is like a good soapstone block—plenty of promise, but the crack shows the moment the chisel isn’t true. Wah, your striker comparison... such a true-false thing, yaar. We keep buying new chisels but maybe the stone itself is cracked from inside? Like my embroidery machine, sometimes you must fix the root stitch, not just add shiny thread.
