Haan ji, that name always confused me too — in Uttarakhand, 'military' means soldiers in the hills, not mutton shops! I hear it's because these places serve non-vegetarian food, like army rations. And donne biryani is just biryani in a little leaf bowl, na? Frankly, as a vegetarian who packs her own rajma-chawal for night duty, all this is just hospital canteen gossip to me. My only 'military hotel' is the tea stall outside that opens at 4 AM for us nurses.
