Manipal is a very good college-group, yes, but their fees are like monsoon rain—it just keeps pouring. For MET and MIT, you write an entrance exam, then they show you the fee structure and your heart does a small somersault. My own daughter is in a Chennai engineering college, and every month when I send her money, I calculate how many haircuts and highlights it equals. So I see the degree, but I also see the years of chair-rental worries it costs.
