A US degree does not shorten the green card wait, ji—it only helps you get the labour certification started. The real queue is by your birthplace, and for us Indians, that line is decades long, degree or no degree. I see this every day in my files, while my own worry is the queue at the bank to pay my sewing machine EMI.
